(결코 부자가 될 수 없는 습관)

 

좀 역설적인 이야기지만 “부자가 되려면 반드시 버리라!’는 습관들이 있습니다.

이 습관들을 몸에 익히면 결코 부자가 될 수는 없을 겁니다.

 

그 부자가 될 수 없는 습관들을 소개 합니다.

(이 글은 원 출처는 잘 모릅니다만, Vancouver에서 발행되는 ‘굿데이’라는 주간지에

실린 글을 옮겼습니다.)

 

1.      책임을 타인에게 넘긴다.

세상의 모든 바보들은 잘못되면 남 탓만 한다고 합니다.

재산 관리에 실패한 사람도 자신의 잘못을 인정하지 않고

남 탓을 한다고 합니다. 여기서 비난의 대상이 되는 사람들이 나옵니다.

‘그 놈의 증권사 직원’, ‘그 놈의 부동산 중개업자’, ‘그 놈의 엉터리

전문가’ 등 자신의 결정과는 상관없이 ‘그 놈들’ 때문에 실패 했다고

합니다.

 

이 분들에게 ‘그 놈’이 있는 한 이 분은 절대 부자가 될 수 없을 겁니다.

그런데 이 분에겐 ‘그 놈’이 있어야만 투자가 됩니다.

자신이 결정할 수가 없기 때문 입니다.

 

2.    말만 한다.

기업의 ‘최고 경영자’나 부자들은 부지런하며 실천하는 분들 입니다.

새벽에 운동하러 나가면 이분들을 쉽게 만날 수 있습니다.

이분들은 말만 앞세우는 게 아니라 실천하시는 분들 입니다.

 

아래와 같은 습관을 가지시면 부자 되기는 요원해 집니다.

-         재산형성 비결을 머리로만 알고 실천하지 않는다.

-         말로만 부자가 되겠다고 한다. 주말에 부동산을 보러 가거나 경매에

참가하지 않는다.

-         재산 불리기에 관한 책을 보는 대신 ‘TV 드라마’에 빠진다.

-         아침에 늦게 일어나고 게으르다.

 

3.    정확한 목표가 없다.

재산 축적에 실패한 사람은 그냥 부자가 되겠다고 말만 합니다.

몇 년 안에 얼마를 벌고 금년엔 얼마를 모으겠다는 구체적인 목표설정이

필요 합니다. 그 것이 달성되든 안되든……

그리고 위의 목표를 달성하기 위해 어떤 노력을 한다는

실천계획이 필요 합니다.

 

목표가 없는 사람은 초점이 없어 아무것도 이룰 수 없을 뿐만 아니라

그냥 인생의 강물에 떠 다니며, 흘러가도록 물결에 내 맡기며 ‘부자’가

되기만을 바랄 뿐 입니다.

 

성공할 수 있는 사람은 자신의 재능과 열정을 집중할 줄 아는 사람 입니다.

 

4.    쉬운 길, 편한 길만 찾는다.

귀하는 남 보다 특별한 재능이 있습니까?

아니면 남들보다 대단히 머리가 좋습니까?

이도 저도 아니고 평범하다면 다른 사람보다

훨씬 더 부지런해야 재산을 모을 수 있습니다.

어려움 없이 성취되는 것은 하나도 없습니다.

 

다른 사람들처럼 입을 것 다 입고, 먹을 것 다 먹고,

놀 것 다 놀면서 평범한 귀하가 부자가 되기를 바란다면

대단한 찯각이 아닐 수 없습니다.

 

5.       ‘협력자’가 없다.

다른 사람과 협조하여 성공의 길을 모색한다면 쉽고 빨리

목적지에 도달할 수 있습니다.

 

정보는 인간관계를 통해서 전달 됩니다.

단신에게 몇 년 간 좋은 정보가 없다는 것은 단신의 인간관계에

문제가 생겼다고 보면 됩니다.

 

귀하를 부자로 만들어 주는 것은 바로 ‘사람’ 입니다.

사람에게 투자 하십시오. 최고의 수익율을 올려주는 것은

주식도, 부동산도 아닙니다. 바로 사람 입니다.

 

6.    적은 돈을 소홀히 한다.

자투리 돈을 관리하지 못하는 사람은 큰 돈도 관리하지 못합니다.

 

한 턱 잘 내고 푼돈을 소홀히 하는 사람은 부자가 되기 어렵습니다.

 

7.    너무 빨리 단념한다.

미국의 한 통계에 따르면 ‘투자의 처음 10년간은 돈을 벌지 못한다.’는

말이 있습니다. 투자도 연습이고 연마해야 잘 할 수 있습니다.

처음부터 잘 한다면 그게 오히려 이상한 일 아닙니까?

처음부터 골프를 잘 칠 수 있습니까?

 

투자도 마찬가지 입니다.

때로는 수업료(손실)도 필요하고 기법을 익히는 시간도

필요 합니다.

 

성공하는 비결은 어떠한 어려운 상황에서도

절망하지 않는 데 있습니다.
